    Associate Instructor at Farmington Valley Diagnostic Center


    Start Date:

    Under the supervision of the program Director, performs various functions within the school to support students, teachers, and other community stakeholders.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities


    Job Description:

    Farmington Valley Diagnostic Center is seeking an Associate Instructor to work with classroom teachers to provide assistance in individual and group student instruction, classroom management, behavioral management, and various other classroom tasks.

    This is a full-time, 10-month position.

    Job Requirements:
    The successful candidate will provide support for students.

    Responsible for providing academic support, behavioral redirection, and general collaboration with the classroom teachers to support the needs of the students.

    The ability to work with others and to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) with students, parents, and teachers is also required.

    Associate Instructors may also need to attend faculty meetings, departmental meetings, and professional development sessions with the approval of the program director.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


    • Requires a Bachelor's Degree and experience working with students.
    • Knowledge of teaching/classroom instruction skills preferred.
    • Organizational and time management skills are necessary.
    • Must be efficient and involved in all classroom activities.
    • Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and student information systems a plus.
