- Coordinate with Purchasing Manager to identify projected delivery dates of expected shipments and provide updates, as necessary, to Production, Sales, and Warehouse department managers allowing them to coordinate associated projects.
- Answer incoming calls, taking notes, and transferring as necessary to appropriate departments/personnel.
- Assist in the dispatching of inbound/outbound shipments to ensure proper delivery and receipt to final location
- Receive, unload, and unpack shipments of purchased products.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage and correct quantities.
- Report damages or shortages to the appropriate person.
- Match shipments to their associated purchase orders and enter receiving data on appropriate paperwork.
- Record receiving data in company databases.
- Maintain import/export logs.
- Identify new products/materials for inventory, and create locations for them to ensure that they are properly stored and tracked.
- Prepare and organize received stock for inventory.
- Return damaged products to senders for refund or replacement.
- Monitor inventory levels.
- Assist in counting and upkeep of inventory.
- Perform other appropriate tasks as necessary and directed.
- Basic math and organization skills.
- Ability to bend and lift 35 pounds or more, on occasion.
- Detail-oriented mindset.
- Data entry and computer skills.
- Knowledge and experience with MS Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to work on feet for long hours.
- Ability to multi-task and take on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Understanding of safety protocols and requirements.
- Experience shipping and receiving related products.
- Willingness to train and certify in workplace related skills—CPR/First Aid, etc.
- Forklift experience is required.
