    Description

    Aston Carter is working with a large financial services company in the KC area seeking to add an Accounts Receivable Specialist to their team This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to join a company with a great culture and long term growth opportunities. Our client offers a hybrid work schedule after training.

    $20-22/hr (depending on experience).

    Job Description:


    • Maintains and archives support for all Accounts Receivable transactions including customer agreements, changes in billing and payment history.


    • Develops and organizes record-keeping system to handle audit requests internal and external.


    • Maintains accurate customer and contract information within the Oracle Accounting software.


    • Processes invoicing for multiple frequency ad hoc and recurring.


    • Sets up necessary coding for new fees to invoice or additional entities responsible for invoicing.


    • Processes all daily receipts of payment by auto deduction, ACH, check, credit card, or wire transfer. Creating batches, verifying, and posting to the Accounting ledger.


    • Provides assistance with researching and solving payment discrepancies.


    • Sends and prepares Brokers or Office Manager's reports on monthly customer status including payments received, invoices billed, and outstanding invoices for which they are responsible to collect.


    • Initiates contact with Brokers or Office Manager's to handle collections when necessary.


    • Sends out statements on account as requested.


    • Handles incoming calls and callbacks to Customer inquiries.


    • Sends our W-9 to customers when requested.


    • Provides assistance with setting up new invoicing and posting beginning balances for different offices.


    • Participates in developing enhanced reporting and effectiveness of the Accounts Receivable department.


    • Provides assistance with scanning and clerical functions for General Ledger accounting and Accounts Payable.


    • Maintains prompt and regular attendance.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • 1-3 years of accounts receivable experience
    • Associate's degree preferred
    • Proficiency in Excel
    • Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred
    • Strong work ethic and emphasis on organization and attention to details.
    • Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
    • Good problem solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.
