    Company Description:
    CDG Engineers, Inc. is looking to add a business development manager to their Charlotte, North Carolina office. CDG is a multi-discipline consulting engineering firm headquartered in St. Louis.

    The firm has approximately 80 personnel with capabilities in civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural disciplines primarily servicing the fields of state and local infrastructure, power, mining/material handling, industrial, and federal government.

    CDG is known for solving some of the most complex problems in challenging environments and our staff is expected to regularly engage in high level problem solving to enable our clients to be successful.

    Job Description:
    This position will be primarily focused on sales to new prospects and account management of existing clients. The candidate should be comfortable making cold calls and maintaining a positive rapport with outside industry professionals. Candidates must be comfortable interfacing on technical subjects. Additionally, candidate should maintain positive working relationships with fellow employees. Candidate should be capable of working both independently and within a team. Travel of 50 percent is expected.


    Daily Tasks May Include:
    Identify and pursue opportunities for selling professional engineering services.
    Develop long-term client relationships.
    Attend in-person meetings with key prospects and accounts.
    Conduct phone and/or email sales.
    Develop sales strategies and plans for major clients and markets.
    Attend conferences and other industry events.
    Maintain ongoing records in the CRM system.
    Provide key input on industry trends, competitors, markets, etc.
    Participation in various industry groups.
    Provide input to corporate marketing.
    Participation in company teams.


    Job Requirements:
