    The Professional Development Manager will provide customized development plans focused around helping leaders, aspiring leaders, and those in key customer facing functions develop their advanced skills through facilitated learning opportunties.

    Through individualized sessions, they will guide colleagues to:
    1) Identify communication strengths and opportunities and create a roadmap to help reach goals
    2) Cultivate skills to understand and resolve conflict successfully
    3) Increase personal effectiveness by learning how to establish credibility & increase influence
    4) Learn how to develop interpersonal relationships using listening skills and showing empathy
    5) Gain confidence in delivering key messages with impact
    6) Provide an opportunity for role-playing exercises or dry runs when needing to deliver a key messages

    *They do not get involved in HR related matters

    Key Responsibilities

    • Adhere to set L&D standards to ensure consistent, professional delivery of learning and training opportunities to the organization.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development throughout the organization.
    • Ensures their "area of responsibility" operates efficiently & effectively, creating goals and setting plans/strategy to feed into overall L&D strategy; etc.
    • Identify what skills or knowledge the business lacks via skills matrix or other means, analyze training options (e.g. simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development classes, e-learning, on-line self education tools, etc) to fill the gaps, and make training plan recommendations.
    • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content with clear instructional end goals, incorporating exercise and activities that enhance the experiential learning model of "Learn, Practice, Do".
    • Evaluate individual and organizational performance to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving performance, by monitoring colleague performance & response to training, providing feedback/results to managers as applicable.
    • Create and manage tools to evaluate training effectiveness using various methods (surveys, post-training quizzes, one-to-one discussions with participants and/or managerial staff, etc). Resolve any specific issues and tailor programs as necessary.
    • Able to influence senior leaders and maintain strategic relationships at all levels to adopt and support approaches to learning and development and to understand their team/department learning needs.
    • Able to manage relationships with Course Developers, Subject Matter Experts, and Centre/local stakeholders to identify system upgrades or Global/Regional driven enhancements to collaborate with training needs.
    • Develops and maintains organizational communications (ie Sharepoint, Yammer, catalogue, L&D branded emails, etc) to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
    • Engage with Global L&D community to identify opportunities where we can adopt / share best practices and participate in "workgroups, projects" when the expertise areas matches with the needs.
    Who we are looking for
    • Ability to communicate effectively with management and other departments.
    • Proficient using Microsoft Suite.
    • Exceptional storytelling & writing skills.
    • Strong understanding of business goals and standards.
    • At least 4 years relevant experience working within a training/coaching environment & proven instructional experience in a group business setting.
    • At least 2 years of proven leadership development experience.
    • Able to identify performance improvement opportunities/gaps, conduct analysis, and develop solutions to deliver desired results through training programs or coaching opportunities.

    The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for this position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
