    Description

    Higgs Fletcher & Mack LLP, one of San Diego's oldest and most prestigious law firms, has an opening for an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary. Salary is commensurate with experience.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Scheduling consultations, appointments, depositions, etc.
    • Maintaining and updating attorney calendars
    • Routine telephone calls with clients, opposing counsel, court clerks, court reporters, etc.
    • Opening, stamping, scanning, imaging, uploading, routing, and filing of all incoming and outgoing mail
    • Preparing pleadings for court filing (State and Federal) and service
    • Electronically file/serve documents
    • Preparing exhibit binders and hearing/trial binders for attorneys
    • Draft client correspondence
    • Perform administrative support functions, such as scanning documents, e-mailing documents to clients, maintain and update electronic and physical files, meeting with clients, prepare and submit check requests and expenditure request forms, scheduling and reserving conference rooms, etc.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
    • Able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Able to work as a team with attorneys and staff members
    • Strong sense of discretion
    • Professional appearance and professional communication with clients and co-workers
    • Bachelor's Degree preferred
    • Minimum of three years of litigation legal secretary experience
    • Strong working knowledge of Forms Work Flow, CompuLaw, and iManage
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word
