    Description
    A large financial client is looking for a Senior Credit Officer, specializing in Private Equity Structured Credit.

    The Risk Management Department contributes to the sustainable growth of the group through its expertise, understanding of risks, and risk management techniques.

    The department's mission is to independently analyze, assess, manage and monitor risk-taking activities with the objective of achi/*eving, together with the first line-of-defense, the best possible outcome for the bank.

    The department oversees the enterprise, strategic, credit, market, liquidity, operational, model, and other risks of the corporate and investment banking business activities.

    RISQ/CIB oversees the management of credit related to corporates, financial institutions and sovereign counterparties as well as country risk for the bank's activities.

    RISQ/CIB's duties include setting specific credit policies for each of the main businesses in conjunction with General Management, the businesses lines and other RISQ divisions where appropriate.

    These credit policies establish (i) the general criteria for the acceptability of credit requests for each client category and/or type of facility, and (ii) exposure limits.

    Senior counterparty credit risk and lending professional with broad experience approving credit lines, managing exposures, and monitoring collateral performance.

    You will be reporting into the Financial Institutions Team Head, focusing on Private Equity / Financial Sponsors and their financing needs including BDC's, capital call facilities, insurance, portfolio financing of Middle Market and Broadly Syndicates Loans, CLO warehouses, Private Equity Fund Financing, NAV financing and associated he/dging.

    You will also be responsible for the review and validation of certain LBO transactions in partnership with the Corporate Team and reporting into the Corporate Team Head on this scope.

    As part of the Financial Institutions team, you would be expected to progressively build out your knowledge of the broader scope of responsibility including bank and non-bank financial institutions, asset securitization and specialty finance companies.

    Must Have:
    * 10+ years with within financial services with a focus on Private Equity and Financial Sponsors and their financing needs.


    • Broad knowledge of risks impacting Financial Sponsors and Private Equity specifically with a specific expertise in credit risk.
    • Must have good knowledge of the US Market and regulatory practices.
    • Must have strong analytical and solid judgment skills with a proven ability to understand complex transactions / processes.
    • Demonstrated problem solving ability and capacity to work autonomously.
    • Must have a strong ability to manage multiple projects and issues simultaneously.
    • Strong collaboration skills required both across the risk division and with other partners such as business lines, legal and compliance teams.
    • Results focused, responsive, with strong strategic capabilities in terms of decision making and risk assessment.
    • Good English language writing skills, working knowledge of French is a plus.
    • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines. Effective management of priorities.
