As a Barclays Credit Officer Assistant Vice President (AVP), you will be responsible for having an effective credit risk management (evaluation of risk/exposure management of credit risk within the Hedge Fund and Private Equity sectors.
The team members have advanced technical skills across a broad range of disciplines, tackling issues from economic conditions to financial crime, and the team advises Barclays' business leaders and help them make decisions.
Salary/ Rate Minimum:
$115,000
Salary/ Rate Maximum:
$150,000

- Maintaining integrity of credit risk function whilst ensuring that the team continues to fully support Front Office relationship and sales staff
- Conducting due diligence and writing credit papers for new clients and annual reviews
- Providing handson support to the team to ensure that appropriate action is taken to mitigate credit risk
- Actioning on requests from stakeholders across the bank and ensuring that the approvals are within the defined Limits and Mandate and Scale set for the sector
- Changing in limits and counterparty credit rating following Credit approval
- Maintaining data integrity of appropriate Credit Risk systems and ensuring they reflect the approved sanction
- Approving utilization of sanctioned limits within discretion and resolving credit risk limit excesses
- Monitoring and actioning on margin call escalations and monitoring compliance with credit terms in trading/legal documents and resolving/escalating breaches
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS)
- At least two years of experience in credit risk management of Hedge Funds and Private Equity Funds
Skills that will help you in the role:
- A high degree of self-motivation, the ability to drive for results, and a track record of setting and achieving goals and meeting schedules
- Analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to provide big picture decision making and knowledge of ISDA and other relevant master agreement documentation
- Working knowledge of risk metrics including VaR, PFR and stress testing; with social, verbal, and written communication skills
- Product knowledge across derivative and financing products and ability to articulate complex concepts and ideas and Python/coding skills are desired but not required

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue.
This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
