    Perforce develops DevOps tools that improve software quality and security as well as team productivity for several of the world's leading companies, such as PIXAR, CD Projekt Red, NASA, Verizon, Honda, and NVIDIA.

    Position Summary:

    Perforce is searching for a Director of Product Marketing to join our team and support our GTM efforts in Media & Gaming. The Director of Product Marketing will be focused on our Digital Creation suite, which includes Helix Core, the industry-standard version control for game developers.

    The ideal applicant will have experience working in, or a strong knowledge or passion for gaming & media. This role will be a key position with opportunities for growth as we continue to scale the organization.

    As Director of Product Marketing, you would be instrumental in supporting product launches and go-to-market efforts, including product positioning, messaging, and sales enablement with the objective of creating demand and continued customer affinity for our products.

    The Director of Product Marketing will be responsible for thought leadership and evangelism to raise the profile of the company, increase awareness for your brands, and gather market intelligence. This may include presentations at industry events, direct customer interaction, analyst briefings, articles for trade publications, social postings, etc.

    A key area of responsibility is having a pulse on the "voice of the customer" and deeply understanding the customer journey while tracking market trends that could impact those customers. The ability to dive in and learn about our products, the problems they help solve, and the markets where we sell is critical to being successful in this role.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop trusting relationships with cross-functional teams including Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Support to gain customer feedback and insights.
    • Understand the market and competitive landscape and how we win.
    • Develop value propositions & messaging that differentiate our products and support the creation of effective Marketing campaigns and Sales collateral.
    • Create sales training materials and tools that align with the buying process and help move prospects and customers forward through the sales funnel.
    • In partnership with the Product Team, manage and plan product launches with clear objectives and defined metrics for success. Own and drive product launch communications strategy, messaging, and planning.
    • Interact with customers frequently in the form of interviews, surveys, product feedback, case studies, win/loss analysis, sales calls, industry event & user group networking, etc.
    • Help evangelize Perforce and turn customers into references and champions.
    • Support the creation & delivery of presentations at internal and external events.
    • Achieve defined KPIs for gathering and sharing 'voice of customer' insights to the broader organization.
    • Facilitate regular Sales trainings on product value proposition, new features, market, and competitive landscape.

    Requirements:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to listen and uncover insights, as well as influence and engage different audiences.
    • Data-driven and results-oriented. Willingness to change direction based on new findings.
    • Experience in customer-facing roles, e.g. product marketing, technical marketing, pre-sales, professional services, training or technical support.
    • Experience with public presentations and/or authorship of white papers, blogs, articles, etc.
    • Energetic, enthusiastic, with a highly flexible attitude.
    • Ability to develop content and messaging for various audiences (technical, decision-maker, executive, analyst, etc.).
    • Ability to speak technically with engineering teams and translate into business value.
    • Highly organized individual, able to multitask and manage demanding projects and deadlines.
    • 7+ years experience in enterprise software product marketing or similar.
