    ABOUT RETOOL:

    Nearly every company in the world runs on custom software: Gartner estimates that up to 50% of all code is written for internal use. This is the operational software for refunding orders, underwriting loans, onboarding employees, analyzing transactions, and providing customer support. But most companies don't have adequate resources to properly invest in these tools, leading to a lot of old and clunky internal software or, even worse, users still stuck in manual and spreadsheet flows.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    You'll own, create, and activate marketing strategies and initiatives to promote adoption, to improve engagement, satisfaction, retention and to accelerate expansion across our customer base, including but not limited to events, webinars and digital advertisements. You will play a key role driving Retool's continued growth and success on the expansion front. Success in this role will require deep experience in customer lifecycle marketing, a drive for continuous improvement, and desire to drive real value to Retool's customers.

    No two days will be the same. As part of a rapidly scaling team you will have the opportunity to assist in various other areas of demand generation and growth.

    You'll be working with almost every Retool, but will most often be partnering with marketers, designers, sales, and customer success teams to execute on marketing campaigns, bespoke and at scale. We really like spending time with each other in person and believe in the power of in-person collaboration, creativity, and connection so we have also returned in a hybrid capacity to our San Francisco offices 3 days a week.

    WHY WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU:
    • Develop comprehensive customer lifecycle marketing projects that improve engagement, satisfaction, retention and expansion across AMER and global markets
    • Define and track goals for customer lifecycle marketing initiatives
    • Analyze campaign performance and customer data to identify trends and inform future opportunities
    • Partner closely with regional & global cross-functional stakeholders (customer success, operations, data, product, and engineering), to identify opportunities and build strategic, scalable customer programs both internally and externally
    • Manage digital post-purchase projects end to end, as a strategic lead and project manager, identifying opportunities and implementing improvements along the way
    • Turn insights into go-to-market initiatives, through orchestrated digital experiences, email campaigns and experiential marketing
    • Own and manage customer events, including our Customer Advisory Board, Customer User Forums, as well as customer engagement programs at Industry events - this includes evaluating overall objectives, events and touch-points while project-managing and executing a valuable experience for our most strategic customers.
    • Creatively bring our customers' stories to life by defining and owning the process and delivery of capturing customer success stories, ranging from writing case studies to coordinating customer testimonial videos and capturing customer proof points.
    • Own and manage the reporting and metrics of all programs, being proficient at measuring and reporting out the impact of all programs and campaigns.
    THE SKILLSET YOU'LL BRING:
    • 5+ years of customer marketing experience with a B2B or developer tools startup
    • 2+ years experience of email/database marketing
    • 2+ years experience planning and executing hosted and sponsored events
    • 2+ years experience managing direct mailer campaigns/gifting programs
    • A deep understanding of digital advertisements - LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, Meta Ads and Bing Ads
    • Demonstrated experience working across marketing functions, collaboratively with global stakeholders from customer success, operations, data, product, and engineering teams
    • Experience measuring, analyzing, and reporting performance of programs and campaigns and developing optimization strategies
    • Familiarity with Salesforce and Hubspot (or other similar CRM and marketing automation tools)
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Strong project management skills, with an ability to keeping multiple work streams and cross-functional partners and vendors in sync around timelines
    • Strong ownership mindset to do whatever is needed to deliver the best marketing to our customers
    For candidates based in the United States, the annual base salary range is listed below. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Retool and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors such as (but not limited to), scope and responsibilities, the candidate's experience and qualifications, and location.

    Additional compensation in the form(s) of equity, and/or commission/bonuses are dependent on the position offered. Retool provides a comprehensive benefit plan, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Pay and benefits are subject to change at any time, consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation or benefit plans.

    United States pay range

    $140,300-$179,700 USD
