    Description

    About Us: Iconic base metals mine in the most prolific silver producing region of the United States. Led by a new leadership team comprised of executives with a working partnership focused now on unlocking its significant potential with production anticipated in late 2024, whilst investigating a pipeline of similar regeneration projects.

    Position Overview: Seeking a dynamic and experienced Underground Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of underground mining activities at the Mine. The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimizing productivity, ensuring safety compliance, and driving operational excellence for the company's underground operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Manage day-to-day underground mining operations, including drilling, blasting, ore extraction, and material handling, to meet production targets and quality standards.
    2. Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize mining methods, equipment utilization, and workflow efficiency.
    3. Lead and mentor a diverse team of miners, engineers, supervisors, and support staff to foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
    4. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, environmental policies, and operational procedures to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment.
    5. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including geology, engineering, maintenance, and logistics, to coordinate activities and resolve operational challenges.
    6. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze operational data, and implement corrective actions to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance.
    7. Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation plans to optimize financial performance and maximize return on investment.
    8. Drive innovation and technology adoption to enhance mining efficiency, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.
    9. Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, local communities, and indigenous groups, to ensure open communication and mutual respect.

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ Years of Underground Experience with strong technical knowledge of underground mining methods, equipment, and processes.
    • 15+ Years Experience in Industry.
    • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and overcome challenges.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Strong ability to multitask.
