The Accounting Manager job responsibilities will include:

Manage the accounting staff, oversee the daily workflow of the department, conduct performance reviews, coordinate training programs, and recruit/hire accountants
Develop appropriate segregation of duties necessary to ensure the proper control environment exists
Maintain required business documents and financial document retention files
Maintain the general ledger and ensure company accounting practices align with GAAP
Approve all bank reconciliations for depository accounts
Review and approve journal entries
Assist company leadership develop financial objectives and policies
Reconcile all balance sheet accounts and reviews for input accuracy
Sales tax reporting on a monthly/quarterly basis
Prepare monthly reports and financial statements as needed

Qualifications / Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or comparable experience
5+ years of accounting experience preferred
CPA certification preferred
Accounting team management experience required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of royalties reporting
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (1-2 years minimum experience)
Thorough understanding of bookkeeping practices, financial accounting, and cost accounting
Understanding of and the ability to adhere to GAAP
