    Position Overview:

    As a senior social media specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our brand's digital presence across key social media platforms. This role demands a blend of strategic thinking, creative prowess, and analytical ability to enhance our brand's visibility, engage effectively with our audience, and drive meaningful growth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • 15% Strategic Development: Build the perception of QuillBot around the globe by leading the creative strategy for all social media content, including translating trends and curating creators. Partnering with the Director of Brand and Communications to craft the overall channel and individual platform strategies and develop and socialise QuillBot's editorial calendar.
    • 20% Publishing: Exhibit a strong ownership mentality by managing QuillBot's social media calendar, ensuring content is published on time, and communicating changes and challenges across the marketing department.
    • 40% Content Creation: Produce break-through content that connects with culture and drives organic follower growth and engagement across our social media platforms. Develop, script, design, and produce multimedia content and partner with influencer marketing leads to identify and collaborate with global creators on content for QuillBot's platforms.
    • 15% Community Management: Actively monitor our social media outlets for user interactions, including comments, direct messages, and mentions, ensuring prompt and thoughtful responses that reflect our brand's voice and values.
    • 10% Analytics and Reporting: Identify and employ analytics tools to monitor, analyse, and report on content performance to guide strategic adjustments and foster continuous improvement.

    • A visionary with a proven track record in leveraging social media beyond conventional uses, demonstrating a capacity to innovate and engage in profound ways.
    • Exceptional storytelling and content creation skills, capable of crafting diverse creatives that resonate across cultural and demographic boundaries.
    • Deep understanding of how to blend entertainment with education on social media platforms, turning organic content into a growth engine for QuillBot's social media presence and a high-traffic channel for user acquisition.
    • Strategic thinker with a performance marketing mindset, adept at analysing data to drive content creation, editorial planning, and funnel optimisation.
    • An excellent collaborator who can lead initiatives in a globally distributed, highly matrixed organisation, act as a mentor to junior colleagues, and foster a healthy team dynamic.
    • Highly organised, with an innate ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously, driving them to completion in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

    Skills and qualifications:

    • Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Communication, Digital Marketing, Internet Marketing, or a related field.
    • Professional Experience: Demonstrable track record as a social media specialist or similar role, showcasing successful social media strategies and campaigns.
    • Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, their algorithms, analytics tools, and the latest digital trends. Skilled in graphic design and video editing software to create visually compelling content.
    • Creative Aptitude: exceptional creativity in developing engaging and original content that resonates with the target audience.
    • Analytical Ability: Strong analytical skills to evaluate data, interpret metrics, and extract actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
    • Collaboration: excellent team player with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
    • Communication: writing and storytelling capabilities, with the creativity to craft narratives that captivate and engage customers, reinforcing the brand's message.
