    Manages administrative operations for division and sets division goals in conjunction with department standards and guidelines.

    Department DescriptionThe Nutrition Services department is within the Nutrition and Food Services department at UCSF Medical Center. The staff is comprised of dietitians, diet technicians, and nutrition assistants. Staff support inpatient, outpatient, pediatric, and adult nutrition care at UCSF's various medical campuses. Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant area from a regionally accredited university.

    Three to five years of progressive leadership and responsibility in the healthcare industryOne-year direct management experienceIn-depth knowledge of food, nutrition, and medical nutrition therapy principles.

    Leadership skills in employee supervision and HR administration to effectively lead and motivate others. Conflict resolution skills to resolve personnel issues and counsel assigned staff to develop cooperative working relationships.
    Ability to collaborate within and across departments to coordinate daily activities and resolve problems. Interpersonal skills to maintain professional relationships with peers, patients, multidisciplinary team members, senior management, and assigned staff.
    Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a complex, challenging environment. Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility, anticipates and effectively handles change. Customer service orientation to respond quickly and with empathy to patient issues.
    Ability to organize operations efficiently and effectively through improving workflow systems and protocols.

    Demonstrated ability to listen actively, consider all points of view with an open mind, and solicit and incorporate ideas when appropriate.

    Ability to perform all commonly applicable functions in clinical documentation applications and nutrition department database technology. Knowledge of available information technology software in the nutrition field.
    Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree preferred.
    Knowledge of relevant medical center and UC policies and protocols. Knowledge of nutrition and dietary federal and state laws and regulations.

    California Children's Services (CCS) paneled if working in pediatrics or ability to obtain at time of hireLicense/CertificationRegistered Dietitian (RD)Advanced practice credentials (e.g.
