Responsibilities


Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist the Pharmacy Technician is responsible to perform various technical clerical and other non-discretionary duties related to the distributive function of packaging preparation dispensing delivery charging and inventory control of medications and supplies in Unit Dose I.V.

service and outpatient pharmacy as assigned. In addition the Technician also participates in Quality Improvement activities and performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Experience
Unit Dose Admixture Outpatient Services and Billing.


Education
High school graduate or have a certificate of equivalence required with some college preferred.

Require certification as a pharmacy technician with attending an accredited school of pharmacy or have the experience of equivalent skills and competency in Unit Dose I.V.


Licensure
Current State of California registration as a Technician.


Training
Complete annual safety training. Complete and maintain department specific training.


Special Skills
Must be able to type 25 words-per-minute with no errors


Must have mathematical skills:
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret graphs. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English. PC Computerizing skills preferred. Pass pharmacy typing and math tests conducted as part of interview


Pay Range
$ $27.68 /hour
