- Develop, maintain, document, and share expertise in an existing suite of learning technologies, including product features, campus needs and requirements, stakeholder use cases, and vendor relationships. Lead regular evaluations of existing tools through consistent and strategic engagement with stakeholders. Identify and implement continuous improvement efforts using established design research practices. Provide high-level stakeholder support to faculty, staff, and students who interface with OAT with exceptional decorum and professionalism.
- Lead Learning Technology Adoption Process projects, researching and evaluating new academic technologies for campus adoption. Use established project management principles and procedures. Manage end-to-end operational and tactical aspects of cross-unit projects to ensure milestones and requirements are met. Ensure effective handoffs of projects for implementation. Develop and oversee quality assurance activities.
- Represent OAT on select councils, working groups, task forces, committees, and other stakeholder engagements supporting the unit mission; prepare agendas, meeting notes, and reports; facilitate stakeholder and leadership meetings. Coordinate select academic technology stakeholder groups.
- Regularly prepare high-quality stakeholder and executive briefings and reports on technology adoption and other academic technology activities.

Purpose
The mission of the Office of Academic Technology (OAT) is to coordinate a strategic and holistic academic technology ecosystem where students, faculty, and staff thrive.
Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice Provost and Director of the Office of Academic Technology, the Academic Technology Specialist oversees a portfolio of technologies critical to advancing the University's teaching and learning mission, and is the principal expert on the University's (LTAP). This position serves as a steward of academic technology on campus, organizing and leading cross-unit academic technology collaborations varying in size, scope, business impact, and risk.
Responsibilities
Bachelor's degree. At least three years of experience in instructional technology, academic technology, instructional design, and design research of related area(s). Experience managing or working on five or more complex projects/initiatives, from small to large, through the full life cycle. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to recognize and successfully resolve ambiguity with decorum. Ability to take and implement feedback well. Experience working and communicating effectively with various project stakeholders and contributors. Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn from errors and mistakes. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, mitigate risk, and make and recommend timely decisions.

Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree. More than five years of experience in project coordination, instructional technology, academic technology, instructional design, and design research of related area(s). Experience coordinating more than ten projects through the entire life cycle. Previous experience in higher education or K-12 sector. Relevant project management certification, such as Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Salary Range$67,000 + depending on qualifications
