Accounting Manager – Great Location in MoCo

About the Company and Opportunity:

Our long-standing client is a leader in the healthcare industry
Due to a vacancy, they are temporarily hiring an Accounting Manager to work in office in the Rockville area. They offer free parking onsite
Schedule is Mon-Fri regular business hours 8a-5p.
Position is in-office.
Pay: $50-55/hr based on experience.
Duration: contract-to-hire

Overview of the Accounting Manager role:

Responsible for all aspects of global accounting systems and accounting processes, including month-end close, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and internal controls and integrity, suitability, accuracy, and timeliness of internal information systems
Manage accounts payable cycle, process, and staff. Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
Manage accounts receivable, cash receipts and revenue. Prepare billing invoices and collections.
Assist in all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities including journal entry review/posting, balance sheet reconciliations and expense allocation, etc.
Perform and complete special projects and other duties as assigned by Controller and/or CFO.

Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting Manager:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
10+ years of progressive accounting experience
Proficient in Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
