Company Overview:


The mission of the National Gallery of Art (the National Gallery or the Gallery) is to serve the United States of America in a national role by preserving, collecting, exhibiting, and fostering the understanding of works of art at the highest possible museum and scholarly standards.

In pursuit of this mission, the National Gallery requires unarmed security officer services to supplement its in-house security force.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Account Manager to join our team.

The Account Manager will be responsible for managing client accounts, overseeing security operations, and ensuring the highest level of service delivery.

This role requires strong leadership skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a proactive approach to client relationships and team management.


Responsibilities of the Account Manager:


  • Manage all required services to ensure the efficient operation and security of the National Gallery premises.
  • Maintain frequent and effective communication with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and other National Gallery staff to address any issues, provide updates, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor Shift Supervisors and maintain quality control by performing daily quality control inspections.
Prepare clear, accurate, and timely reports and records related to Security Officers' attendance, post coverage, discipline, and uniform inspection, including:
a. Daily open post report.

b. Daily report detailing at least two (2) random inspections.

c. Weekly open post report.

d. Monthly open post report.

e. Quarterly updated employee roster.

  • Provide the COR with clear and accurate schedules at least two (2) weeks in advance.
  • Provide monthly status updates to the COR, including statistics on Contractor personnel suitability and stability, training accomplished, incidents and injuries reported, and any significant problems or concerns related to contract performance or administration.

Other Qualifications for Account Manager:


  • Must be at least twentyone (21) years of age.
  • Able to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Physically able to perform all duties, functions, and activities required.

Additional Qualifications for the Account Manager:

  • Possess leadership skills and the ability to lead and develop an effective team.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Ability to work in an autonomous environment with limited supervision.
  • Proof of attendance of Leadership/Supervisor training course completion.


These responsibilities and qualifications ensure that the Account Manager effectively oversees security operations, maintains quality control, and communicates effectively with stakeholders to uphold the safety and security of the National Gallery premises.

From $28.00 per hour


Expected hours:
No less than 30 per week
