    Renewable Energy Recruiter | Legal & Supply Chain

    Our client, a leading investor in the energy & renewable energy sectors is seeking a skilled Chief Compliance Officer to oversee compliance with laws and regulations of the company and its affiliates. The CCO will manage and improve the compliance program and offer guidance to company leaders regarding conflicts of interest in funds and investments, obligations outlined in LPAs and side letters, and the application of rules set by regulatory bodies like the SEC and the FINRA.

    Responsibilities :

    • Lead & mentor a team of compliance professionals
    • Collaborate with the GC to resolve legal and compliance issues
    • Manage the firm's compliance program
    • Oversee fund registration/licensing requirements, fund disclosures, side letters, Operational Due Diligence matters, etc.
    • Prepare the firm for regulatory exams (SEC, FINRA)

    Qualifications :

    • J.D. from an accredited law school and an active bar license
    • 10+ years of compliance/regulatory experience at a law firm or a SEC registered asset management firm
    • Experience with private funds
    • Renewable energy/energy experience is a plus
    • Ability to work out of the D.C. office on a hybrid schedule
