    Description

    Job: Program Manager Non Tech 3

    Location: Preferred in Redmond office x2 week (open for remote but meet PST HRS)

    Daily Schedule & OT estimate: Monday-Friday 40hours a week/ No Overtime

    Chance for Extension (Y/N): YES

    Equipment or Software Required: Standard equipment such as laptop, mouse, headset, and extra monitor will be provided by supplier

    Typical Day in the Role

    • Purpose of the Team: The AeGIS (Artificial Generative Intelligence Security) v-team was founded in June 2023 and is one of the main wings of Microsoft s AI Safety mission, alongside the Office of Responsible AI (ORA), Responsible AI Engineering (RAI Eng), and AETHER. AeGIS s role is to bring security and operational expertise, including red teaming, incident response, review processes, security training, and developing core software architecture and technical mitigations
    • Key projects: The candidate will assist the AeGIS Safety and Security v- team in meeting objectives and priorities in the areas of Assessment Lead Training, Upskilling Security Red Teams, and RAI Champ Training and other objectives as needed for AI scope and priorities.

    Candidate Requirements

    • Years of Experience Required: 5-7 overall years of experience in the field.
    • Degrees or certifications required: business administration or a related field degree is required to be eligible for this role.
    • Disqualifiers: Candidates with no technical writing, azure, cloud experience will not be eligible for the role.
    • Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain Azure / cloud dev experience (Azure tenant setup. VM tenants), MSFT experience, The role requires technical writing experience, security experience, and project management skills
    • Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on quality of work and deadlines.

    Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience

    1. Minimum 3-5 years experience with Technical Writing

    2. Minimum 1-3 years experience with Security

    3. Minimum 3-5 years experience with Program / Project Management experience

    Summary:

    The main function of a non-IT program manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc or any other non-IT based project.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
    • Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.
    • Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
    • Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
    • Confer with management, production and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
    • Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.

    Skills:

    • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage one s time.
    • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
    • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
    • Knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.

    Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
    • PMI or PMP certification preferred.
    • 5-7 years experience required.
