- Preparing and editing pleadings, discovery and other legal documents for e-filings.
- Scheduling meetings and depositions with appropriate detail.
- Docketing and tracking case deadlines.
- Proofreading/editing attorneys' work.
- Coordinating travel arrangements for attorneys.
- Document and file organization, document creation, conversion and formatting.
- Preparing expenses, and other administrative duties.
- Must have knowledge of procedures and rules for filing documents in state and federal courts, and experience filing documents in both courts.
- Qualified candidates will have at least 5 years' experience as a legal secretary and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and document management systems.
- The candidate should be confident, highly organized, resourceful, and detail-oriented.
- Candidates should demonstrate an ability to be proactive, assertive, and willing to work independently and collaboratively with other legal assistants, paralegals, and attorneys to meet deadlines and provide excellent internal and external client service.
- Candidates should be able to communicate clearly and concisely with a solution oriented approach.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
