    Description

    A Property Tax Product Training Specialist is a member of the Product Training team who is an expert and advocate in OPT, a licensed software of They provide system guidance, support, and enforce policies in order to maintain data integrity.

    A Property Tax Product Training Specialist enhances and increases users' skills, performance, productivity and quality of work. This position requires a self-starter and creative problem solver. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a strong technology background.

    This position coordinates effectively with members of the People Group, members of Talent Effectiveness, the Property Tax Operations team and colleagues across the Firm.

    Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan's Key Results


    People:

    • Be an expert, proponent, and advocate of OPT.
    • Always provide user support.
    • Assists with enforcing Policies and Procedures.
    • Demonstrate Ryan's core values by creating a positive and accountable work environment.
    • Attends and participates in all scheduled conference calls and training sessions.
    • Contributes to employee engagement, performance, and Talent Management strategies.
    • Makes assessments of effective programs and initiatives in terms of employee accomplishments, development, and performance.

    Client:

    • Identify training and developmental needs.
    • Evaluates and improves talent management technology with input from IT, HR, and key stakeholders.
    • Researches strategies aligned with internal practices and external industry trends.
    • Drive training initiatives.
    • Organize and lead Internal and External demonstrations, training efforts and continuing education.
    • Create and maintain PropertyPoint procedure documents.

    Value:

    • Recommends possible enhancements or policies.
    • Assists with development testing.
    • Provides communication and training to the practice.
    • Develops and delivers proposals, presentations, and customized solutions.
    • Updates department forms, documents, and processes as necessary.
    • Participates on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities.
    • Maintains reports and submits accurate and timely metrics for all requested reports.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience:

    • Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in property tax and a property tax data management system.
    • College degree preferred, not required.
    • Must be able to travel as needed (frequency to be determined; anticipate monthly).
    • Familiarity with and ability to implement various training methods; including, but not limited to: orientation, mentoring, coaching, in classroom training, e-learning, and workshops.
    • Comfortable with public speaking and leading both small and large training sessions.
    • Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals.
    • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills including written and verbal skills in order to customize the message for the audience and organization.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.
    • Projects professional demeanor and demonstrates punctuality, dependability, good organization, accuracy, attention to detail; and is able to follow-through on all tasks timely, working without close supervision, and under tight time constraints.
    • Handles and safeguards confidential information and sensitive material.
    • Internal Candidates must have their direct managers approval and support of their respective Practice Line Leader.

    Computer Skills:

    • To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
    • Prior experience in property tax data management systems is required.

    Certificates and Licenses:

    • Valid driver's license required.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Work Environment:

    • Standard indoor working environment.
    • Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
    • Occasional long periods of standing while training.
    • Position requires regular interaction with employees in-person, via e-mail and telephone, and video conferencing.
    • Independent travel requirement: 25 to 50%.

    Compensation:

    • For certain California based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $64,000 - $77,880
    • For other California based locations, the base salary hiring range for this position is $64,500 - $71,390
    • For Colorado based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $52,000 - $68,200
    • For New York based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $64,000 - $77,880
    • For Washington based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $55,000-$71,390.
    • The Company makes offers based on many factors, including qualifications and experience.
