    Idaho Power - located in vibrant Boise, Idaho - is looking for an Application Development Analyst that specializes in Oracle to join our Information Technology team.

    What does an Oracle Developer do for us? Under broad direction, provides in-depth analysis, design, development, and ongoing support for I.T.

    solutions. Maintains a thorough understanding of business processes. Provides in-depth analysis of incidents and solution requests with business process knowledge. Applies technology as necessary in the solution of complex business problems by designing integrations, programs, and other software tools. Determines I.T. requirements and business processes, codes, tests, debugs, and coordinates the implementation of complex software solutions. Roles are often project based, delivering IT changes within the business. Conducts high-level quality assurance reviews on peer development work. May direct the work of other developers. Works with 3rd party software vendors. Serves as technical expert and/or technical project lead/manager. Develops technology standards and methodologies for 3rd party software.

    This role has multiple levels available with pay range as follows:
    Entry Wage $ $43.56 Hourly Mid-Senior Wage $90, $136,406.40 Annually REQUIRED SKILLS Knowledge of: + Computer programming concepts, relational databases, programming languages, and system design Preferred: + RESTful APIs and web service concepts + API security best practices Skills in: + Oral and written communication, + SQL language + Object oriented programming + Customer-focused approach to problem resolution and process improvement Preferred: + Developing Oracle PL/SQL Stored Procedures + Cloud platform integration development Ability to: + Work collaboratively in a team environment, be a self-starter, communicate and effectively and learn new technologies MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    Entry Analyst:
    Education: + High school diploma or GED Experience: + 2 years of directly relevant experience and/or formal, targeted hands-on training OR + within 1 year of completing a BS in Computer Science (at least 3 years of education in Computer Science)

    Preferred Certification:
    + Java certification Analyst: Education/Experience: + BS in Computer Science and 1 year of directly relevant experience and/or formal, targeted hands-on training OR + 5 years of directly relevant experience and/or formal, targeted hands-on training

    Preferred Certification:
    + Java certification

    Senior Analyst:
    Education/Experience: + BS in Computer Science and 3 years of directly relevant experience and/or formal, targeted hands-on training OR + 7 years of directly relevant experience and/or formal, targeted hands-on training Licenses & Certifications: + Senior: Project Management and/or programming language certification desirable

    Preferred Certification:
    + Java certification PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people.
