    About the Role:
    The Fragrance Development Manager will be a key member in defining the next generation of our products. This role will help drive fragrance development across product categories and discover new, exciting concepts .

    A successful candidate will be highly organized, have great communication skills, and have a creative mindset .

    This is a full-time, hybrid role reporting to our Associate Director of Product Developmentand is ideally based out of Squatch HQ inMarina Del Rey, California.

    The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $100,000to $130,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.


    What You'll Do:
    Creative development for new core scents for both Dr.
    Squatch and Jukebox, and partnerships

    Travel for trends & inspiration

    Travel to fragrance houses to speed up fragrance creation for white spaces to build library

    Trade shows to meet new fragrance houses and Vendors

    Help define the long-term fragrance strategy for Dr. Squatch to keep surprising & delighting our customers

    Drive fragrance development across soap categories, helping to expand our signature scents across our portfolio

    Work closely with the Senior Fragrance/Product Manager on the development of the core fragrances for our women's brand

    Build and maintain strong relationships with Fragrance Houses to ensure we are effectively communicating project goals and fragrance concepts while managing, evaluating, and providing feedback on new submissions and leading technical fragrance changes

    Work closely with Regulatory to manage stability across our upcoming launches with Fragrance Houses and Vendors

    Collaborate with Consumer Insights, Portfolio Strategy, and R&D in all aspects of new product launches, including brainstorming, concept definition, and product brief development

    Partner with the Commercialization Team and Supply Chain to ensure deadlines are being met across projects


    About You:
    Bachelor's degree

    3-5+ years of experience in product and/or fragrance development, preferably in the consumer products industry

    Deep technical understanding of fragrances and ability to translate product development hopes and dreams into actionable input and feedback for fragrance houses

    Genuinely interested in fragrance, health & wellness

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Someone who gets things done without perfect resources, is innovative, and works with a sense of urgency

    Someone who has high standards, takes ownership, and is invested in the outcome

    Someone who proactively helps others, stays positive, and has a good sense of humor
