As a key executive, this individual will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic client relationships, and leading a team of account managers to exceed performance targets.
The ideal candidate will have experience guiding a sales team in complex solution selling and have a proven record of exceeding sales targets and goals, ideally within the MSP, cloud, or cybersecurity space.
This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to achieving excellence in customer satisfaction and revenue generation.
Primary ResponsibilitiesLead, manage, and mentor a team of 5+ account managers setting sales targets, performance metrics, and strategic goals aligned with the company's objectivesDevelop and implement effective sales strategies to retain existing clients and acquire new accounts, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and loyaltyAnalyze customer experience and health metrics, identifying key indicators and trendsWork closely with the marketing, product, and customer service teams to ensure a cohesive approach to market penetration and customer experienceConduct high-level negotiations with key clients, establishing and maintaining profitable and long-term relationshipsAnalyze market trends and customer needs to anticipate potential opportunities or challenges, adjusting strategies accordinglyPrepare detailed reports on account status, forecasting, and business development, presenting to senior management and stakeholdersManage budgeting and forecasting for the sales department, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximize ROIDrive continuous improvement in sales processes and techniques through training, development, and the implementation of best practicesAct as an escalation point for complex negotiations, optimizing deal structuresQualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
An MBA is preferred7+ years of relevant experience in sales or account management, with at least three years in a leadership role Proven track record of exceeding sales and retention targetsExperience with negotiating diverse customer accounts, from SMB to enterpriseDetail-oriented, adaptable, and able to prioritize in a dynamic environmentExceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teamsStrong analytical and negotiation skills, with a keen ability to handle complex sales cyclesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering strong client relationshipsExperience working with clients in financial services preferred
