- Oversees the relationship with our payroll service provider (ADP/Celergo) and a managed payroll process with ADP Celergo, based on ADP Workforce Now platform
- Proficient in Time and Labor and ADP Kiosk for reporting and tracking time and labor
- Executes payroll in US and Canada, across multiple divisions and entities including Commercial, Product Development and Regulatory Affairs and Product Manufacturing and Supply
- Work for improvement on payroll processes/procedures focusing on automation/efficiency and accuracy for both salary and hourly time reporting systems
- Provides additional reporting to the entities associated with KPIs
- Provides/prepares the accounting transactions and documents to be posted to the GL for each of the entities, across multiple GL platforms in US and Canada
- Ensures payroll policies and procedures are in compliance with relevant Federal and State laws
- Reviews/supports the filing of quarterly tax reports and voluntary deduction reports by payroll
- Provides payroll reports for renewal of workers compensation insurance and subsequent audits
- Follows up on mailing notices from Federal and State Agencies for resolution
- Liaise with HR and employees related to payroll matters
- Serves as back-up in the processing payroll
- Maintain the relationship with Travel Pool Europe monitoring the reconciliations being performed for each of the North America Businesses
- Maintain the travel and expense accounts matrix for each of the Canada/US/Mexico business units ensuring the accounts meet each countries/subsidiaries statutory requirements
- Maintain OneDechra associated with relevant Travel & Expense documentation for use by the employees
- Work with the resources located in the Overland Park office that perform the accounting review for travel and expense reports, ensuring reviews are timely, compliancy with the policy, and issues (such as late reports or out of policy expenses) are properly addressed with the employees
- Responsible for reviewing and providing or posting all travel and expense journal entries sourcing from the travel system provider.
- Review/maintain credit card acknowledgement forms, ACH Debit/Credit authorizations (new hires/terminated employees) and payment to/from employees are proper and timely.
- Oracle Customer and Supplier Masterfile information input and validation.
- Project example- Oracle implementations, Integration of acquisitions, process improvements such as the use of ADP Kiosk as the front end for the ADP Time and Labor module.
- Excellent proficiency in payroll system - ADP Workforce Now / Celergo Global Payroll
- Knowledgeable of State and Federal legislative requirements related to payroll practices
- Trustworthy in handling confidential information
- Oracle proficiency is highly desired, or similar ERP system experience
- 5 or so years accounting experience (booking journal entries) and associated knowledge required
- Certified Payroll Processor or significant years of experience
- Supervisory Experience
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Advanced Excel skills required
- A minimum 2 year Accounting degree desired or comparable experience
