- Complete assigned responsibilities as part of monthly, quarterly and year end accounting closing.
- Review monthly results compared to plan and historical periods and provide follow up analysis.
- Act as subject matter expert on complex accounting topics and perform accounting tasks related to these items.
- Prepare and reconcile consolidated financial reporting; including SEC financial reports, regulatory reports, and internal reports.
- Prepare and review reconciliations of assigned accounts.
- Provide analytical research and support for other functions within the Finance department.
- Utilize accounting software effectively and identify efficient ways to leverage software to complete tasks.
- Conduct technical accounting research and analysis including implementation projects when necessary.
- Research impact of new accounting pronouncements and model impacts to financial statements.
- Participate in accounting system/procedures implementation teams.
- Interact with internal and external clients while providing extraordinary service.
- Develop and maintain trusted, positive relationships with employees, clients and vendors.
- Represent the Bank and Accounting team in a highly professional manner.
- Complete job assignments in a professional, timely and efficient manner; organize and prioritize work.
- Maintain confidentiality; adhere to CrossFirst Bank policies and procedures; comply with laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Reliable and predictable attendance; both onsite and remote.
- Minimum of three years as a successful accountant; public accounting or banking experience is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices. This role requires demonstrated experience of excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, clear communication, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience with effective planning and priority setting; ability to manage several projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Advanced level knowledge of the basic Microsoft Office Suite Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated experience with finance, accounting, information systems and related disciplines.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent combination of education/work experience.
- Master's degree preferred.
- CPA License preferred.
