The company brings big company clout along with small company service.Alliance Energy Services is seeking a Senior Accountant accustomed to handling high-volume accounts with an ability to prioritize their workload to ensure daily and monthly deadlines are met.
The Senior Accountant's primary responsibility will be inventory and balance sheet reconciliation for the company under the supervision of the Controller.
This role is based in our corporate office located in North Kansas City, MO and will be scheduled to work Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Perform daily accounting tasks such as inventory and balance sheet reconciliation, investigating discrepancies as neededPrepare and analyze financial data, highlighting variances and trends for review and timely resolutionPrepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP and Alliance Energy Services internal controlsMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactionsCollaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reportingParticipate in internal and external audits and ensure compliance with internal controlsProvide support to other accounting team members, as needed, and serve as backup for treasury functionsAssist Controller with preparing budgets and forecasts, month and year end closing processes, and monthly financial reportingAssist in ad hoc financial analysis and reporting projects as assigned
Primary Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related business discipline; CPA credentials are desirable but not required- 5 years of combined experience in public or private accounting; commodity trading industry experience is a plusInventory reconciliation experience highly desirableMust have strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skillsCan execute job responsibilities in a systematic and well-thought-out manner with minimal supervisionExpert using Microsoft Excel; proficiency with various accounting systems/databasesKnowledge and/or ability to learn Microsoft PowerApps and Power BI is a plusBenefits:Competitive SalaryStandard Benefits Package including Medical, Dental, Vision, and PTOCompetitive 401k Employer MatchIf you meet the qualifications and are interested in this opportunity, please submit your resume to We look forward to learning more about you
