    Acelero Learning provides direct Head Start services to more than 5,000 children and families in four states (delegates)
    • New Jersey, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

    Shine Early Learning (Shine), established in 2009, was created to scale the dissemination and utilization of Acelero Learning's proven tools and approaches through partnerships to other Head Start programs nationally.

    In the past three years, Shine has further diversified its offerings through training, technical assistance, and consultation to publicly funded early childhood systems, including the launch of SPARK Learning Labs.

    The Purpose of the Role:
    Acelero, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Representative to join our team focused on Public Systems.

    Reporting to the Senior Director of Partnership Development, Public Systems, this position focuses on cultivating strategic relationships with state, city, school district, and other government entities.

    The role involves collaborating on grant writing, policy initiatives, managing projects, and ensuring effective communication between Shine Early Learning and public sector partners.

    What You'll Work OnAssist in identifying, developing, and submitting professional development contracts through local and state governments and school districts.

    Support the identification, cultivation and qualification of leads using a sales methodology grounded in relationship development and a strengths-based approach.

    Perform regular market analyses that include such components as potential customers, competitive threats, market purchasing and spend trends, and recommendations.

    Identify and cultivate relationships between Shine and potential contractors and government representative ensuring effective communication and engagementResearch and produce potential customer profiles and make recommendations on where to target business development resources.

    Facilitate multiple projects and support project management plans, focusing on continuous quality improvement.

    Identify opportunities for and secure preferred vendor status across states, local agencies, and districts, and maintain relationships with the procurement offices.

    Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance knowledge of products and services and sales skills.

    Contribute to Shine Early Learning community of practice by:

    Sharing Best Practices:
    Sharing successful strategies, tactics, and sound practices with colleagues and teams, helping others understand what works well in promoting the organization's mission

    Collaboration and Cross-Functional Teams:
    Collaborating with teams in other departments, such as marketing, grants development, and Shine implementation teams, to align efforts with their objectives and share insights on how public systems can support their initiatives

    Educational Resources:
    Creating and sharing educational resources, guides, or training materials on market trends

    Feedback and Evaluation:
    Providing feedback and data-driven insights on the effectiveness of business development strategies to inform continuous improvement and decision-making within the organization

    Participating in Knowledge Exchange:

    Actively participating in knowledge exchange sessions, workshops, or conferences related to early childhood education and family engagement, offering expertise and learning from peers in the field.

    Engage in cross-functional committee, workgroup, or task force opportunities to deepen understanding of and strengthen relationships within the organization.

    Increase visibility of Strategy & Growth and Public Systems work within the organization by participating in conversations, presentations, and organizational events.

    About You (Requirements):Bachelor's degree required; Master's Degree/MBA/MPA preferred.1-3 years of experience in managing/administering public sector projects or contracts.
    Experience in quality rating and improvement systems for early childhood education or delivering professional development.
    Knowledge of public policy development or implementation.
    Comfortable with public speaking and stakeholder engagement.
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, community-focused environment.
    Motivated, results-driven, and able to thrive in a community-oriented sales role.


    When/Where/How Much Start Date:

    April/May 2024Location/Travel:
    Remote. Travel required locally or long-distance up to 40% for conferences and events (1-2 weeks per month)

    Salary:
    $54,820 - $68,525, base salary. This role anticipates up to $16k in commissions/bonus payments.
