    Accounting Manager

    CFS is working with a client in HARTFORD looking to hire an ACCOUNTING MANAGER.


    Position Highlights:

    • Backed by Private Equity and experiencing ongoing expansion.

    • The Accounting Manager will report to the President and have 3 direct reports.

    This Role as Accounting Manager:

    • Supervises and actively participates in the accurate and timely processing of daily financial transactions within a manufacturing setting.
    • Ensures the integrity of subsidiary ledgers, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and projectspecific financial records.
    • Coordinates the preparation of financial close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and comprehensive account analyses.
    • Prepares and disseminates all financial reports, crafting new reporting formats as needed.
    • Upholds compliant and secure financial practices and controls across the organization.
    • Oversees cost accounting processes, conducting variance analysis, and providing insights into product costing.
    • Facilitates the organization's budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
    • Guides and mentors the financial team, fostering their professional development.
    • Manages the accounting module within the organization's ERP system to optimize efficiency and accuracy.

    Preferred Accounting Manager Qualifications:

    • 2 or more years of leadership experience of an Accounts Payable Team in a fast paced, multisite environment experiencing high growth.
    • 5+ years' total experience in accounting
    • The Accounting Manager should have large ERP system experience, as well as 1099 filing experience
    • Advanced skills within the Microsoft Suite, advanced excel (vlookups, pivot tables etc); strong computer and business solutions software skills.
