    Description

    Our client is located in Las Colinas and we are looking for a skilled records/file/administrative clerk. Serves as a team member in an entry-level position and works under direct supervision. Assists in processing incoming information, sorts, classifies, and codes material for integration into systems or into storage areas. Retrieves/references information for users. Maintains logs and indexes to provide status of information and accurate retrieval.

    Sorts, classifies, and codes material for filing

    Prepares new files within file classification plan

    Accesses, compiles, gathers, and issues requested records and information

    Maintains accurate charge-out system

    Maintains accurate circulation records

    Receives and processes records transferred to inactive storage in accordance with established

    schedules

    Processes obsolete records for destruction, in accordance with retention policy and established

    procedures

    Channels information regarding daily activity to data entry clerk

    Qualifications

    Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Prefer candidates with experience in an active records environment and one or more years of college with specialized course work in administrative management and computer technology.

    Requires experience in operating office equipment such as reprographics equipment, calculators, and reader/printers and ability to lift standard record boxes, not to exceed government or labor requirements. Typically, the requirement is the ability to lift 35 to 50 lbs.
