    Job Summary

    Persona is looking for an Accountant I to join our team. If you are interested in a role that you can grow, we are interested in speaking with you. In this position, you will report directly to the Controller and provide your knowledge and expertise when performing a variety of accounting responsibilities. You should possess excellent time management, a cheerful outlook, and a willingness to learn. Our ideal candidate should also be able to work proficiently in Microsoft Excel.

    Job Responsibilities

    Accounts Payable

    1. Assist with processing incoming vendor/supplier invoices
    2. Vendor statement review
    3. Weekly vendor payments
    4. Vendor payment verification

    Commissions

    1. Corporate Commission calculations and reporting
    2. Internal Commission calculations and reporting

    Contractor and Business Licenses

    1. File all appropriate paperwork to the States for the Companies
    2. Manage the Renewals

    Sales Tax

    1. Manage the Sales Tax program
    2. Process the approved Sales Tax Returns
    3. Stay up to date on Sales Tax requirements that affect the Companies

    Other duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    Education and Experience

    · Associate degree required, bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting or Business.

    · 1 - 2 years Accounting experience in a professional environment desired.

    · Moderate Microsoft Excel experience required.

    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position. Typical Days and hours worked are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in our Watertown or Sioux Falls locations.
