- The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired. Additional information regarding acceptable typing tests is available at the website.
- Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 (when not applying electronically), or the Electronic State Employment Application through your Applicant Account at All Experience and Education relating to the Minimum Qualifications listed on the Classification Specification should be included to demonstrate how you meet the Minimum Qualifications for the position.

Under the general supervision of the Staff Services Manager I (Supervisory), the Office Technician (Typing) ((OT) (T)) is the first point of contact for the Personnel Office.
The OT (T) serves as support for the Personnel Office and provides exceptional customer service to Energy Commission employees while demonstrating a positive attitude and a commitment to provide quality service that is accurate, timely and exceeds our customers' expectations.
The incumbent independently processes personnel documents; works in a team environment; and provides general clerical support.
The Personnel Office provides guidance and assistance to Energy Commission staff and management on personnel related issues such as, payroll and benefits, time and attendance, classification analysis, recruitment and hiring, etc.

Working Conditions
The CEC supports a hybrid workplace model with office-based and remote-centered workers. Limited in-person attendance and occasional travel may be required based on the needs of the division.
