    Description

    Lakeshore Talent has teamed up with a dynamic upstream oil and gas company based out of Denver to find an experienced Senior Project Manager for an exciting opportunity. As the Senior Project Manager, you will spearhead the planning, execution, and successful culmination of Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) projects. This pivotal role demands a seasoned professional who can ensure safe, cost-effective, and timely delivery of capital projects in the CCUS domain.

    Position: Senior Project Manager

    Location: Remote

    Compensation: $150 - $220 per hour

    Travel: Up to 25%

    Duration: 1-year contract with potential for extension or permanent hire

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the team in executing CCUS capital projects with a focus on safety, efficiency, and adherence to established project management processes.
    • Ensure project team follows established dCarbon Ventures project management processes
    • Develop and implement robust processes for project identification, appraisal, design, and execution while ensuring economic viability and risk mitigation.
    • Drive continuous improvement by documenting and applying lessons learned from project experiences.
    • Maintain strict control over project scope, schedule, and costs throughout all phases ensuring the project economic model is reliable and accurate.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Geology, Land, Business Development, and expert consultants.
    • Develop and apply the project playbook and best practices tool kit
    • Manage and establish relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure quality delivery.
    • Other duties as necessary to support project success.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering
    • 10 to 15 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, preferably with exposure to carbon injections or CCUS.
    • Extensive experience managing large capital projects such as roads, pipelines, refineries and power plants.
    • Experience working at a public company in multiple areas of the project management function.
    • Ability to develop and then deliver a complex set of competing objectives.
    • Strong knowledge of the stages of project development from concept definition to design and planning processes to EPC work.
    • Knowledge of use of stage gates, budgets, FID decision making processes.
    • Experience assessing the costs, benefits and risks associated with a project to determine financial feasibility and potential return on investment (ROI).
    • Advanced interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills.
