    Description

    Welling Young, LLC has partnered with a rapidly growing privately held Commercial Insurance Underwriting Program (MGU) based out of Addison, TX. They are seeking an experienced Construction Underwriter to leverage their relationships with retail agents to further build out their Construction GL practice.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage daily underwriting and policy production activities
    • Develop retail workstream/channel for Construction program/product distribution
    • Document new workstream process and procedures
    • Interact/lead personnel as requested by Management
    • Work with Marketing/Business Development to understand current retail relationships and develop a distribution marketing strategy for product roll out.
    • Review quotes and endorsements to ensure underwriting policies and procedures are maintained
    • Recommend improvements to existing procedures and works with business analyst to develop reporting and to resolve system constraints
    • Demonstrate a willingness to be approached and engaged in discussing solutions to issues
    • Devote your exclusive attention and time during working hours to the business of the Company and perform the duties and responsibilities consistent with your role
    • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

    Experience:

    • 10-15+ years of Construction underwriting
    • Must be located in the DFW Metroplex
    • This is an in-office role
