    Position Summary:

    Hillwood Investment Properties (HIP) is actively seeking a Vice President (VP), Finance & Investments to join its Capital Markets Finance team based in Dallas, Texas. The VP will play a critical role in the transaction process by collaborating with Market Leaders (ML) and Regional Market Leaders (RML) within their assigned geographical region. Upon identification of potential opportunities, the VP will proactively engage with ML/ RMLs to assess transaction feasibility, providing expertise in financial due diligence, underwriting, and strategic deal structuring.

    Responsibilities:
    • Be a strategic financial advisor to MLs and RMLs, empowering them to concentrate on their core transactional operations.
    • Collaborate closely with MLs and RMLs to evaluate key financial underwriting metrics, transaction capitalization, and refine deal structuring strategies to optimize outcomes.
    • Lead and guide Analysts tasked with the financial underwriting of new and existing business within the assigned region ensuring thorough and accurate underwriting in adherence with internal financial guidelines.
    • Drive consistency and accuracy in underwriting and operational/investment committee submissions, overseeing deal-related reporting metrics across the pursuit lifecycle.
    • Provide comprehensive training and mentorship to Analysts and Associates, promoting professional development in operational and quantitative financial analysis methodologies and techniques.
    • Oversee the preparation of materials for Operating Committee (OC) and Investment Committee (IC) with the assistance of Analysts.
    • Partner with the Chief Legal Officer (CLO) to address legal structuring and club compliance intricacies.
    • Monitor and advise ML/ RMLs on bi-weekly pipeline updates, track pursuit cost approvals and advise on limitations while monitoring overall project spend.
    • Occasionally travel to ML/ RMLs' offices to enhance collaboration with local teams and reinforce organizational cohesion.
    • Serve as the pivotal conduit between ML/RMLs and executive leadership (CIO, CFO, President) to ensure alignment.
    Required Skills and Abilities:
    • Exceptional business acumen and critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Expert in financial modeling, underwriting, and analysis, emphasized by a proven history of effectively managing projects and providing sound financial recommendations.
    • Ability to solve complex problems and finding creative solutions.
    • Proven track record of consistently delivering results on time and on budget with a high sense of urgency.
    • Adept in collaborating with cross-functional teams, expertly communicating with varied stakeholders, and fostering consensus.
    • Embodies a high standard of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct, coupled with strong leadership capabilities.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written) to effectively engage stakeholders.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling seamless interaction with executive-level clients and internal counterparts.
    • Can handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion to protect intellectual property and business confidence.
    • Ability to work independently multitask and manage deadlines across cross-functional teams.

    • Proficient in MS Office suite, particularly Excel, and possesses familiarity with coding languages such as C++ and Python.
    Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, or a related discipline is required.
    • MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred, demonstrating a commitment to continuous personal and professional growth.
    • Minimum of 8 years' experience in finance, investment banking, real estate, or associated field required.
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in deal financial due diligence and analysis.
    • Previous managerial experience leading teams and collaborating across departments or functions.
