The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Product Sales Manager to join our client's team in Memphis, TN. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of field sales with industrial products and be able to drive sales growth.
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets
Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with potential customers
Manage and grow existing customer accounts
Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop product offerings that meet customer needs
Support new product development team for products in discovery and at/beyond stage 3
Develop/perform product line training for field sales, channel, and customers
Monitor and drive marketing communication needs for product line in support of growth strategies (promotions, catalogs, social media, web presence, etc)Maintain high level of applications knowledge by continually learning topics related to a defined portfolio of products
Monitors competitor and competitive products. Participate in the development and implementation of appropriate response strategies.
Develops and leads IME strategies (existing product innovations/modification/extensions)
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions
Attend industry events and trade shows to promote the company and its products
What we are seeking:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or other technical degree
Minimum of 5 years of experience in field sales of industrial products
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer accounts
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software
Travel less than 25%. This is an onsite position
