    Description


    For several decades my client has become a premier heavy civil company located in the Bay Area, specializing in road and freeway projects, including paving, grading, sanitary, storm, and water work.


    They have a need for a Project Manager - someone to manage 1–5 projects at a time depending on their range which typically is between $750K to $100million.


    Requirements:


    Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field required, or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.

    7+ years' experience of construction project management
    5+ years' experience of managing personnel


    Role Expectations:
    Advanced knowledge of construction industry practices, processes, standards, technology, equipment methods, cost control, schedules, etc. and their impact on project activities.
    Thorough knowledge of construction contracts/law, drawings, and specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to discipline.
    Demonstrates mastery of and ability to consistently apply BCPG operating standards to work product.
    Advanced knowledge of MS Office products.
    Advanced planning and scheduling skills required. Proven ability to manage project completion on schedule while simultaneously satisfying financial requirements.
    Strong knowledge of project management, accounting, estimating, and scheduling software required.
    Experience with HCSS, Viewpoint Spectrum, and Primavera P6 preferred.
    Strong interpersonal skills to engage and retain positive working relationships with Clients, subcontractors, field personnel, employees, etc.

    Demonstrates leadership and relationship management skills as well as the ability to identify and resolve problems in field operations and project management.

    Demonstrate the ability to work on multiple projects, under tight deadlines with minimal direct supervision.
    Ability to manage a team of varied disciplines. Able to set clear expectations for direct reports regarding role and responsibilities. Able to delegate and assign work to engineering team to progress the project production forward.
    Valid driving license and ability to drive.
