    Description

    Akerman LLP, a top 100 U.S. law firm serving clients across the Americas, is seeking a Marketing Technology Specialist to join the firm's Marketing Department.

    Based in any of the Akerman offices, the Marketing Technology Specialist, assigned to the Marketing and Client Development Department, will be focused on the collection and integrity of the firm's client contact and firm data and responsible for managing the Experience Database. This role reports to the Director of Marketing Operations.

    Experience Database:

    The Marketing Technology Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the Akerman experience matter database.

  • Database Management: Responsible for managing a comprehensive experience database. This involves collecting and organizing information related to the firm's past projects, clients, case studies, and other relevant data.
  • Data Entry and Maintenance: Responsible for entering new data into the database, ensuring its accuracy and completeness. Responsible for updating and maintaining the existing data, making sure that it is up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Content Organization: Responsible for categorizing and tagging the database content to ensure easy retrieval and analysis. Assist in creating a logical structure for the database, making it user-friendly for other marketing and client development team members and attorneys to search for specific information.
  • Collaboration with Client Development Managers (CDMs): Work closely with the CDMs to gather information about the attorneys' cases and client engagements. Collaborate with CDMs to capture relevant details and insights to include in the experience database.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve the database's functionality and usability.
  • CRM Database

  • Handle maintenance of the firm's client relationship management (CRM) database, which includes reviewing and processing contact data changes; data entry; updating mailing lists and contact information; and generating reports.
  • Responsible for CRM data cleanup efforts, including merging duplicate contacts, researching company information, and ensuring that the necessary data fields are populated according to firm standards.
  • Process undeliverable emails, bounce-backs, unsubscribe requests, and new subscribers.
  • Create new records for contacts, under the firm standards.
  • Monitor the shared CRM team email and respond expeditiously to CRM requests/questions.
  • Research internal and external sources to update records and/or complete inaccurate or missing information.
  • Assist with data quality initiatives on key clients, practice group targets, various types of distribution lists, and data quality requests.
  • Perform CRM data imports and exports.
  • Support the marketing team with the creation and maintenance of marketing distribution lists in addition to populating attendee activities.
  • Assist with updating content, including edits to attorney profiles and updating the presentations and articles.
  • Qualifications:

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability, solid internet research skills, and a strong focus on customer service
  • Outstanding proofreading skills
  • Strong orientation towards customer service
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and autonomously
  • Strong time management skills and a sense of urgency to requests, including the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Word and Excel
  • Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years working with a CRM System, InterAction experience preferred
  • 1 to 2 years working with an e-marketing campaign tool, such as Tikit, Cvent, and Concep
  • Experience working in professional services, legal industry is a plus
