Duties:

As an IT Specialist ( System Analysis) at the GS you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Performing eDiscovery functions in alignment with the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) framework and standard including data collection, data processing, data review, production, and presentation.
  • Providing expert advice, assistance, and technical support to Divisions' various systems such as Relativity, Concordance, IPRO, CaseMap, EnCase, and electronic discovery processing tools supporting investigations and reviews
  • Advising on proper hardware and software specifications and requirements to support the system. Manages all aspects of system, to include integration into the existing network architecture and requisite data backup and restore capabilities.
  • Developing and updates customer policies and procedures to ensure appropriate responses to future incidents of a similar nature.
  • Resolving issues related to the delivery of services. Keeps abreast of changes in customer mission requirements through interaction with management in customer organization. Initiates service modifications to meet changing requirements.
  • Maintaining liaison as it relates to handling electronic discovery and document management issues with other federal agencies, the computer industry, etc. through participation in various meetings, training, seminars, and conferences.

Specialized Experience GS-13:To qualify for this position at the GS grade level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level obtained in the federal government. (Specialized experience is paid or unpaid experience that has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the position's duties successfully).

Examples of specialized experience include such duties as:

  • Conducting Analytics for large amounts of data using eDiscovery tools such
as Relativity, Everlaw, and Casepoint to manage document reviews.

  • Creating processing jobs, workspaces, and user account management using
software such as Relativity, EnCase, and CaseMap.

as, but not limited to, Relativity and CaseMap.

  • Performing server security maintenance and SQL queries in Relativity,
EnCase, and/or CaseMap to set up maintenance tasks and query data in SQL
tables.


Time in Grade Requirement:

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade level (or equivalent) by the closing date of this announcement.

This vacancy may be used to fill other similar and/or comparable positions throughout the agency within the stated duty station.


Education:

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
