    Quality Assurance Manager - Manufacturing

    My client is an innovative company that manufactures and develops metal and plastic solutions for a variety of industries. They are seeking to hire a Quality Assurance Manager responsible for managing all aspects of the quality system, corrective actions, quality training and records/database management. Develop and implement quality processes and procedures as well as assist with resolving any client/supplier quality or performance issues. Ideal candidate will have skilled QA/QC experience within the medical and auto industries.

    Responsibilities:

    • Establish, implement and maintain the organization's quality system in compliance with all required laws/regulations
    • Ensure products meet the client's specified requirements
    • Quality system liaison; represent organization
    • Provide guidance and interpretations of blueprints and/or technical specifications
    • Prepare quality performance reports and conduct meetings with management to review
    • Responsible for internal audit program as certified lead auditor; conduct necessary audits (QMS, Process & Final Product)
    • Maintain / manage database for internal corrective actions; issue notices that require corrective action, support the corrections and confirm actions are implemented and effective
    • Maintain / manage database and process for client corrective actions; lead a team for corrective actions, control records and retain communication with clients and suppliers
    • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to settle any quality and/or contractual issues
    • Oversee the document control system; maintain master database
    • Manage quality systems training program; provide training and/or coordinate consultants as needed
    • Responsible for the master training database and ISO/Technical Specification training records
    • Oversee the empowerment and motivation program

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree required
    • Min. 5+ years of Quality Assurance / Control experience within Medical and Auto industries
    • Prefer certification as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), ASQ certification and/or related certifications
    • Certified Lead Auditor required
    • Seeking candidates with training and knowledge of ISO 13485 Medical and/or ISO 9000 ISO/TS IATF) Automotive required (willing to be certified in the other)
    • Knowledge/understanding of Medical and Auto industry quality requirement i.e. FMEA, APQP, Control plans, Measurement system analysis and Process flow
    • Training and knowledge of metal and/or resin principles
    • Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, geometric tolerancing and statistics
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects, meet deadlines
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Knowledge/understanding of measuring equipment capabilities: computerized data collection systems, basic mechanical instruments and programmable vision systems
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

    Offering:

    • Base Salary $125,000 - $135,000 (based on experience)
