and the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) are pleased to announce the joint search for the inaugural Director of the Health Disparities and Equity Research (HDER) Program and Endowed Chair at Regenstrief Institute.
The inaugural Program Director will provide strategic vision, intellectual and academic leadership, and administrative oversight to the Institute's Health Disparities and Equity Research (HDER) Program.
The Program Director is also anticipated to work collaboratively on cross-cutting initiatives related to health equity across all three Regenstrief Centers (Center for Aging Research, Center for Health Services Research, and the Center for Biomedical Informatics) as well as Regenstrief Data Services and Health Data Standards.

Basic Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a strong background in academic leadership and documented success in building, recruiting and growing research program(s).
Additional qualifications include a national reputation in health equity research, a record of sustained funding, and scholarship in the field.
The administrative expectations include programmatic oversight, recruitment, and fiscal responsibilities. A doctorate or terminal degree is required.Minimum qualifications include an MD, MD/PhD, or PhD with experience in clinical /translational research, health services research, epidemiology, public health, informatics, community-based participatory research, learning health systems, policy research and/or implementation science.
An appropriate academic appointment and Department home will be determined based on academic credentials.The individual selected for this position must be a highly accomplished leader with exceptional communication, interpersonal, and change management skills and demonstrate a solid commitment to upholding our core values.
