    POSITION TITLE: Refining/Petrochemical Business Development Manager

    COMPENSATION: Competitive Salary + DOE + Bonus

    BENEFITS: Standard package

    LOCATION: Houston, Texas

    SUMMARY: An experienced and innovative individual to lead sales efforts in various industries including petrochemical, oil and gas, refining, energy and pharmaceuticals. Your responsibilities include generating leads, nurturing prospects, managing client relationships and expanding customer accounts.

    DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Generate leads through various methods including calls, marketing campaigns, cold-calling, site visits, networking and events.
    • Manage a pipeline of leads, build relationships with clients and grow business opportunities.
    • Qualify leads through needs analysis and ROI evaluation.
    • Prepare and attend meetings with prospects and clients, conducting demos and presentations.
    • Develop and deliver sales presentations and proposals.
    • Conduct follow-up activities with prospects and clients, negotiating terms and conditions.
    • Maintain sales databases and stay updated on market trends and competitors.

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 8-10 years successful track record and experience with sales/consulting to relevant industries
    • Must have industry experience having worked in plants or sold to plants within chemical, refining, energy, pharmaceutical or related regulated industries.
    • Have experience with process safety management, operational excellence, plant management, digital transformation and procedures.
    • Technology literate and experience with enterprise software sales
    • Analytical mindset with a focus on ROI.
    • Self-starter with strong prioritization skills.
    • Collaboration and teamwork abilities.
    • Ability to develop sales strategies and materials.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Strong planning and organizational skills.
    • Be assertive, proactive and aggressive in high commission-based sales.
    • Preferred: Experience selling enterprise software solutions worth $250,000 like SAP, Maximo, JD Edwards, OpenText, Documentum, Honeywell, etc.
    • Preferred: Familiarity with procedure and document management systems.
    • Preferred: Familiarity with OSHA process safety management or similar regulatory requirements
