- Provide instructions to staff.
- Plan and implement daily program activities.
- Coordinate activities of assistant group supervisors and aides.
- Assist the Director with developing and designating daily program activities
- Develop, train, and orient all new hires and employees.
- Complete new hire shadowing schedules.
- Perform daily supervisions and performance improvement of staff.
- Provide a safe, structure and educational environment.
- Schedule monthly meetings with staff.
- Correspond with Director and Human Resources concerning staff growth and performance.
- Enforce compliance of all State and Local regulatory agencies as well as Vinco Academy policies and procedures.
- Act as Incident Commander in the absence of the Director.
- Approve of staff timesheets.
- Other duties as required or assigned.

- FBI fingerprint (as applicable), PA Criminal Background Check, Drug Screen, Physician Approval
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited university, with a minimum of 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with children.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory and progressive leadership experience in an educational environment
- First Aid and CPR certified preferred or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire

Job Title: Assistant Director
Department: Vinco Academy
Reports To: Director
SUMMARY
The Assistant Director will be responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of Vinco Academy. The Assistant Director will also be responsible for the safety and protection of individuals enrolled in the academy, as well as the development and direction of staff to ensure quality care. The Group Supervisor of Vinco Academy will coordinate with the Director in planning and implementing daily activities.
