Position Title:
Hourly Associate


Supervision Received:
Reports directly to the Assistant Food Service Director or Food Service Director

Supervision Exercised:
Directly manages aspects of production, quality control, and inventory including those performing the necessary tasks

***: Responsible for setting up and maintaining food production and quality control of food items prepared in the kitchen.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Prepares food items necessary for assigned area
• Assigns specific duties to associates under supervision for efficient operation of the kitchen
• Ensures proper storage and handling of products; uses portion, presentation and recipe controls.
• Maintains cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including food and non-food working areas.
• Reports equipment repair/maintenance to appropriate supervisor or facility department.
• Go to each area to make sure that all items are being prepped properly
• Oversee all rules to ensure safety standards are followed
• Manage labor daily according to volume, call outs and production adjustments
• Make sure all packing and cooling procedures are being followed
• Check to make sure all logs are filled out and collecting at the end of shift
• Walk through and do post ops check on all rooms and equipment. Communicate to all room leads of issues
• Communicate daily usage to ordering/ receiving manager for any shorts or out of stock.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Food Service Director.

The position includes some driving and requires the employee to have a valid drivers license.
