ORGANIZATIONAL DESCRIPTION
Easton Area Neighborhood Centers, Inc. ("The Neighborhood Center") is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) community-based organization that was incorporated in 1967.

The Neighborhood Center advances social and economic justice and advocates for the rights of community members with limited resources from the Easton Area and Northampton County.

The Neighborhood Center seeks to promote a vibrant and diverse community with the power to shape its future.

The Neighborhood Center currently offers the following programs and services:

  • Easton Urban Farm
  • Food Pantry
  • Information and Referral
  • Rental and Utility Assistance
  • RoofOver Transitional Housing Program
  • Social Security Representative Payee Service
  • Senior Hub

POSITION:

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Associate Director will be responsible for the operational success of The Neighborhood Center, ensuring seamless team management and development, program delivery, and quality control and evaluation.

In this newly established role, the Associate Director will manage a growing staff of six (6) and be a key external face of The Neighborhood Center in the community.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure the organization and its mission, programs, and services are consistently presented robustly and positively to stakeholders and the general public.
  • Provide support to the Board of Directors and other Board Committees as needed. Work with the Board to refine the organization's strategic direction and develop specific action plans to achieve agreedupon strategic objectives.
  • In partnership with the Board of Directors, recruit, hire, develop, retain, inspire, and motivate a diverse, highperforming staff including key volunteer positions.
  • Cultivate existing vendor relationships to ensure sufficient space, resources, and service access.
  • Develop and implement strategies that will maximize the synergies among program areas.

Team Management and Development:


  • Evaluate all staff's skills, experience, and professional development needs.
  • Implement a professional development program to address employee experience and skill gaps.
  • Work with staff to develop objective performance measurements and ensure consistent, highquality evaluation and goal setting for all employees.
  • Instill a sense of accountability among team members by modeling tight oversight of individual and organization performance standards.
  • Recruit, hire, and oversee training and orientation of all staff members.

Program Operational Management:


  • Establish consistent, objective program performance standards of accountability
  • Spearhead grant research, writing, submission, and meeting all reporting requirements for awarded grants.
  • With Board approval, ensure that effective internal financial management systems and controls for protecting organization assets are established and maintained.
  • Establish and obtain Board approval of the annual budget. As well as create and present quarterly budgets of financial reports to the Board and work with the Board treasurer to ensure accurate reports.
  • Oversee vendor relationships (including bank accounts, copiers, supplies, phones, internet, rent, etc.) and ensure timely payment of invoices.
  • Serve as an effective spokesperson for The Neighborhood Center, representing its programs and point of view to funders, government entities, community groups and organizations, and the general public.
  • Establish sound working relationships and cooperative agreements with community groups and organizations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:


Specific requirements include:

  • Minimum of a BA, MA preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience with three of those in a management role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Works, familiar with Quickbooks
  • Personal vehicle or access to independent transportation required
  • Criminal record check and child abuse clearance required
  • Experience in management, supervision, fund development, contract compliance, and research

Pay:
$65, $75,000.00 per year
