    Temporary Position

    Position Summary

    The Food Services Director Certified Dietary Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and overseeing the food services operations to ensure the provision of quality nutritional services daily, in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company standards.

    Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements
    • CDM or State-approved food services course
    • Current certification as a Certified Dietary Manager in the applicable State, maintained throughout employment
    • One (1) year experience in post-acute care food service
    • Minimum of two (2) years' supervisory experience
    Specific Job Requirements
    • Make independent decisions as needed
    • Familiarity with practices, procedures, and regulations in post-acute care
    • Implement department programs, goals, and policies
    • Demonstrate proficiency in areas including patient rights, safety, and sanitation
    • Maintain professional relationships with associates and vendors
    • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
    • Adhere to company policies and compliance procedures
    • Uphold integrity and professionalism following company's Code of Conduct
    Essential Functions
    • Taste, check temperature, and smell cooked food
    • Ensure menus are prepared as approved by the Registered Dietitian
    • Oversee food service staff, ensuring timely and high-quality meal service
    • Accurately prepare and serve physician-ordered diets
    • Manage food, supply, and equipment orders, reviewing deliveries
    • Recruit, train, and supervise food service staff
    • Complete nutrition documentation accurately and on time
    • Participate in patient care meetings related to nutrition
    • Support the Registered Dietitian in information collection
    • Operate within budget constraints effectively
    • Provide excellent customer service to patients
    • Contribute to patient evacuation processes
    • Maintain regular and dependable attendance
    • Demonstrate good reasoning, judgment, and communication skills
    • Collaborate effectively in an interdisciplinary team
    • Perform various physical tasks during working hours
    • Proficiency in English language, both written and verbal
