    Quilt's mission is to move humanity off of fossil fuel heating. 20% of US global warming emissions come from homes (that's more than cars). The largest driver of home emissions is burning fossil fuels for heat.

    To stop climate change, over 80M US homes need to transition from combustion to efficient, electric heat pumps over the coming decades.

    We believe for this to happen the world needs fantastic products that are easy and desirable to purchase. Today's heat pumps lack great design, make limited use of software, and are difficult and stressful to adopt.

    We are building a next generation, beautifully designed, AI optimized home heating and cooling system that is 10x better than what is on the market today.

    And we are making it easy to purchase and adopt by managing all sales, rebates, permitting and installation for our customers.

    Role
    Quilt is looking for a driven and creative

    Business Development Manager

    to build relationships with businesses who help motivated homeowners make improvements to their homes.

    Homeowners interact with an ecosystem of businesses to care for their homes, including interior designers, architects, smart home integrators, real estate agencies, general contractors and more.

    Quilt is seeking to partner with businesses in these categories who align with Quilt's mission and customer experience obsession to help homeowners discover and integrate Quilt into their home improvement plans.

    This role is a unique opportunity to be Quilt's first Business Development Manager.

    You'll have the opportunity to work closely with Quilt's marketing and sales leaders to develop a partner strategy that creates great value for all participants, including customers, partners and Quilt.

    You'll also execute on that strategy, identifying and reaching out to potential partners, taking a radically learning oriented approach to understanding their values, developing close relationships and establishing commercial terms.

    The ideal candidate has experience building and negotiating strong partner relationships, and has had professional or personal experience in and passion for home improvement.

    You should also care about Quilt's climate mission.
    Responsibilities

    Develop a partner channel strategy in close collaboration with Quilt's executive team across marketing, sales and product to drive business impact.

    Identify and pitch high potential partners, taking a learning-oriented approach to understand how a partnership with Quilt can create win-win outcomes.

    Structure partnership agreements with a long-term perspective, taking into consideration internal strategic alignment, Quilt's unit economics, and the partner's goals and success metrics
    Negotiate and sign deals with partners, and manage ongoing relationships
    Establish goals and metrics to evaluate the performance of partner strategies and channels
    Drive partnership execution, creating internal plans and working cross functionally to ensure success
    Develop scalable partnership programs and playbooks to support rapid growth
    Drive meaningful incremental business for Quilt aligned with our long-term mission
    Requirements
    Proven experience developing partnerships, ideally in support of consumer-focused marketing and sales strategies across multiple channels
    Personal or professional experience with and passion for home improvement
    Excellent communication skills, with an ability to listen to and understand partners, reflect what you've learned back to other teams at Quilt and to articulate the value of partnering with Quilt
    Demonstrated success collaborating with marketing and sales teams
    Passion for making a real impact on climate change
    This is a full-time, hybrid position in our Redwood City office.
    The expected base salary range is $150,000-$175,000. In addition to base salary, Quilt also offers meaningful equity and top-tier benefits.
