    This role manages compensation, payroll, and time and attendance processes, and connects all Accounting/Payroll/Finance functions as the liaison between these areas

    Our client is an American Art Museums based in Manhattan, looking to add a Compensation and Payroll Manager to their team.

    The Museum collects, exhibits, preserves, researches, and interprets art of the United States in the broadest global, historical and interdisciplinary contexts.

    Help prepare annual budget
    Design, document and implement procedures to streamline payroll processes
    Prepare and analyze all Museum staff hours for the bi-weekly payroll
    Process payroll activities relating to new hires, annual/merit/union increases, bonuses, promotions, leaves of absences, transfers, and terminations; research and resolve all payroll-related issues
    Create, manage and troubleshoot the HRIS/Payroll systems with regard to union and employee classifications, pay policies, scheduling rules, user roles, accruals and data relating to the employee life cycle from recruitment through termination
    Serve as key administrator for HRIS/Payroll system
    Serve as internal project manager for system implementation, future modules and add-on features
    Provide support and training for managers and employees; create training for newly launched modules or features
    5-8 years of work experience in an HR capacity preferred; minimum of 3-5 years of HRIS systems experience.
    ~ Strong knowledge of and experience with labor and payroll laws
    ~ Experience with related systems and applications such HRIS/Payroll systems, MS Office, internet, social media, Concur (Accounts Payable), JazzHR (Applicant Tracking), Asana
    ~ Ability to operate independently and work with limited direction and supervision
    ~ Strong organizational analytical, communication, writing, and research skills
