    Job Description

    Fluent is looking for a skilled Payroll Manager who can work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. The role requires meticulous attention to detail due to the company being public. Previous experience with end-to-end payroll processing is essential.

    What You'll Do

    • Prepare Biweekly Payroll batches for all company codes and review files for accuracy
    • Process various types of payroll in ADP after approvals,
    • Communicate goals and bonus statements to employees
    • Reconcile payroll bank account and journal entries
    • Review coding of payroll, benefit, and invoices
    • Analyze payroll and related expenditures monthly
    • Support internal and external audit requests
    • Ensure accuracy of state withholding and tax registrations
    • Resolve tax agency notices
    • Manage software meetings and project hours
    • Collaborate with HR for accurate employee data
    • Assist with share-based compensation plans
    • Handle employee payroll inquiries
    • Support ad hoc projects

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree
    • Minimum five years of payroll processing experience in a multi-state environment
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Skilled in improving operations
    • Proficient in ADP, NetSuite, and Excel
    • Open to learning and improving, and comfortable admitting areas of uncertainty
    • Excited about contributing and seeking enhancements
    • Effective at managing multiple tasks with a sense of urgency
    • Resilient and determined to overcome obstacles
    • Keen learner with a growth mindset
